The votes are in.
The voter data has been ‘crunched’ in line with the judging process and the shortlists have been produced…
…and Sweet Stuff Society has made it!
As a relatively new local business specialising in bespoke cake design for weddings, birthdays and special occasions. Sweet Stuff Society was shortlisted for the prestigious award after receiving the votes required from a number of previous clients. With a judging panel that includes such well respected names as cake legend Peggy Porschen, Miranda Eason the Editor of You & Your Wedding magazine and Sky News Royal Correspondent Sarah Hewson we are hugely proud of their nomination.
The Wedding Industry Awards are the only independent, national wedding awards in the United Kingdom and are voted for solely by past-clients of the wedding supplier who has been nominated. This real customer base alongside the rigorous judging process ensures that the results of these awards have real meaning for both the entrants and anyone who is organising a wedding and looking for the very best wedding suppliers for their big day.
With a team of unmarried staff, the Sweet Stuff Society team were unaware of The Wedding Industry Awards until we received an email in early October from one of our summer brides saying she had nominated us. Once listed, we were fortunate that a number of other brides (and grooms) completed the voting process and once all entrants were collated Sweet Stuff Society was proud to be shortlisted for Best Wedding Cake Designer as one of only thirteen in the entire London and South East region, as well as being one of only two shortlisted in the whole of the Borough of Bromley and the County of Kent.
To put it mildly, we are very happy with our nomination and over the moon at being on the shortlist. Judging takes place over the next two months with the winner announced at the lavish awards night at the Bloomsbury Ballroom at the start of January. We hope that everything goes well and that Sweet Stuff Society put Beckenham on the Wedding map as being home of an award winning wedding cake maker and wedding cake designer!
